About me

Hi, my name is Omoyele and I am a Registered Sign Language Interpreter, Professional Supervisor and Course Tutor. I graduated from Wolverhampton University in 2002 with a BA Hon in Interpreting BSL/English and went on to complete my Level 6 NVQ in Interpreting in 2006. I have probably worked in every domain going but now mostly specialise in Mental Health, Conference work and Performance interpreting. I also work with a number of Deaf professionals.

I am also a wife and mother of two girls and a little dachshund who keep me very busy indeed so I am definitely all about work life balance and self care.

I found that in my early career, there was little to no support in the interpreting world, especially for new freelance interpreters and I struggled coming back to work after my first maternity leave. I wanted to take action and provide support for others, fate was on my side and in 2015 I was lucky to be selected as one of the first cohort to attend and complete the 360 Supervision course. It honestly was one of the best experiences and I have since travelled the world, presented webinars and given presentations at a variety of events on Professional Supervision and the benefits it brings to a host of professionals.

I work with interpreters and other professionals who want a safe, non judgmental space to reflect on their work, to explore the sticky stuff they are left with and are looking for that work life balance to enable longevity in their careers. I pride myself on providing a space where supervisees can bring their whole selves, be truly open and trust me to accept them as they are. That is where true work and challenge can begin to obtain growth.

I am so passionate about supervision as I gain so much from mine and was honoured to be asked to become a Course Tutor with 360 Supervision on the course that I love and has brought a new career into my life. Getting to nurture and train new Supervisors in this field to provide support to professionals is a complete honour.

I have limited availability to take on new supervisees and can be contacted using the form below. I offer contracting sessions free of charge, these are an opportunity to get to know each other and see if we are happy to begin a supervisory relationship together.
